1/2 Cup Whole wheat flour
Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup and 1 tablespoon of luke warm water
1/4 teaspoon of Oil

I tried this roti, but substituted bread flour for maida. Turned out wonderful. You see, bread flour has more gluten than all-purpose flour, so makes it more elastic, & tears less

the thing with millet flour is that it is not glutinous enough, at least not when mixed as a roti dough. In fact, millet doesn't contain any gluten at all. What you can try is to scold the millet flour, ie. you add boiling water, appr 1 part water 2 parts flour, and mix well. Put aside to cool down. Then add maida, salt and some extra water to a pliable dough. I use this technique when baking on rye, whole grain flours in order to get the starch to swell and keep moist.

Ei Ei , buna e adrenalina asta :D , dar fiti si voi mai grijulii putini , ca pe unii chiar va mananca si va "scarpinati" tragand de acceleratie :D , ganditiva ca la viteza mare va poate iesii un prost in fatas sau va explodeaza o roata si atunci sa vedeti cum nu va mai trebuie viteza excesiva! De exemplu cel din video de la la sfarsit , avea 336 km/h , ganditi-va bine , un pneu explodat sau un obstacol la viteza aia , si nu mai aparea pe youtube ! :|

The cloth should not be damp. What some people do is to cover the dough with a damp cloth. You can do that but for cooking rotis use a dry cloth.

Yes it does puff, however the technique is slightly different. While cooking on an electric stove, have it on high and press the roti on the skillet with a cloth. It will then puff up.

No for plain roti yeast is not needed. Yeast is needed for naans. I am not familiar with Australian packaging. My guess is that you are right. Another suggestion will be to find an Indian Store in your town and buy a small package if chapati flour. There are several brands like Lakshmi, Swad, MHD who cater internationally. The Grocery store staff should be able to help.

This may have to do with the dough and the thickness of the Roti. If you make it too thick, yes it will turn out hard. For dough making watch my video making dough for roti. A little bit of practice should get you there.

Whole wheat flour. I prefer Laxmi Brand from Canada which is available in the US. You should be able to find some good flour at your local Indian store.

You can use a frying pan but do not be disappointed if Roti does not puff or come out the way you see it in the video. It depends on the frying pan too. The heavier the base the better.
