I also did notice these guys didn't have a very extensive musical collection (or at least it wasn't shown). I've noticed that to be the case with many audiophiles I've spoken with. I'm proud to say that I own about 700 vinyls and the list continually grows every month. The packaging of vinyl is so much more personal. You don't get those nice giant covers (and sometimes hand-made goodies, especially in any independent music scene).

I've been reading the comments over analogue vs. digital. It's all a matter of preference. Both have pros and cons. Even things specific to both have their own issues. Belts vs. Direct Drive for example. Analogue and Digital have their own unique characeteristics and it all comes down to the mastering. Some things I own on vinyl don't sound as good as the CDs and vice-versa.

I went here a few years ago and I have to say it is the most amazing place I have ever been to. It stays with you for ever. My goal is now to purchase a property here and spend my retirement here. If you have not been then it is a must but I hope it does not get spoilt by being over run by tourists. You can fly direct to Skiathos and get the boat to Skopelos as there is no airport on this Island. Or you can fly into Athens and get a coach to the ferry and then the ferry can take you to Skopelos.

I used to frequently write to peter barakan (translator featured on many albums) and he not only sent me hosono and sakamoto's autograph but also sent me a pre-release tape copy of sakamoto's 'Futurista' (futurist fellow?) album ('86 i think).
